Find out why I think Zizzi is the most progressive restaurant chain
Finding satisfaction and gratitude with Zizzi
There was a time that a friend and I were in Harrogate, and both of us suddenly felt Hangry! We were amidst roadworks and scaffolding and couldn't see any restaurants near us. This was made worse by the fact that we didn't know where we were, and neither of us have a good sense of direction!
Luckily, we spotted Zizzi and had a delicious meal there. I was so impressed by the sorbet being so deliciously different; I ordered it twice!
That was a number of years ago and things have changed a lot since then.
Zizzi took a step beyond Pizza Express
Pizza Express wanted to cater for vegans better, so they permitted vegans to bring their own cheese. How does this work? The customer needs to be bring a sealed packet of vegan cheese, which will be used in the order they place, and anything that isn't used is returned
Zizzi teamed up with a vegan cheese provider and were the first mainstream chain to offer vegan cheese on pizzas. This was super exciting!
Since then, I've enjoyed meals at Zizzi even more than I did before! Their garlic bread is delicious. They have a delicious Green Goddess Broccoli Salad. The pizza taste great with the cheese. What more could one want? A tasty dessert perhaps? Well...they launched the Vegan Dessert Calzone. Although I wasn't a fan of it, I was chuffed that they actually had a dedicated vegan option for desserts!
Could Zizzi get any better?
I thought they were better than great, but they've got even better! Not only have I enjoyed all the dishes you can see below, but...they've introduced a new dessert! It's called Sticky Chocolate and Praline Torte. Isn't it amazing that vegan have so many options in mainstream chain restaurants nowadays?
