Plant Shift

love ♥ living ♥ vegan

Following a plant-based or vegan lifestyle, is about food, drink, clothes, shoes, body treatments, hair products and more.

It's a conscious decision to think, walk and possibly, talk a better lifestyle.

I support individuals who are thinking about making the shift, as well as, those who have already begun their plant-based journey.

Surprise adventure

I was lucky enough for Suraj to book a surprise Urban Adventure for us in June 2014. He booked it with Veganbnb Travel.

To tour guide or not to tour guide!

We'd only been on one holiday where we had a tour guide and the experience was a mixed bag. It ranged from generous, amazing and adventurous to neglectful and greedy. I'd forgotten about that until we discussed it on the trip and I was thankful for the memory lapse! I wouldn't have wanted some of these memories to cloud my perception of how this trip would be. Why? Because it was great! :)

Emma of VeganBnB Travel

We got to the Bed and Breakfast and our lovely tour guide, Emma, was waiting for us.

It was a brief meeting, which is what you probably want after waking up early and travelling, but it meant a lot all the same. I guess, it also set the tone of what was to follow!

So Emma waited for us while we settled in and freshened up because we didn't want to sleep. Within half an hour we all went for a walk and grabbed some Tapas.

Adventures

I struggle with cycling after being involved in a few car accidents so, rather than, one of our days involving a bike ride and the beach, we went to The Botanical Gardens. It was amazing! We could easily spend many hours there and we both talked about going back when we next return to Malaga.

On Saturday, we visited an Organic Farm. The owners don't sell their produce. It's all for them and the restaurant which they own and manage. It was so interesting to see how they grew their crop, how plants could be manipulated, how sturdy some trees were and how cherished they were! The owners loved and cared for their plants. Rich, is the word I'd use to describe the lives of the owners.

We saw a Flamenco Show too. The performers were so in tune with each other, that they improvised on the spot, they had multiple roles within the show and surprisingly, they were all led by the dancer. We had no idea! It was great!

We laughed lots, had some deep conversations about the madness around us, walked a lot without realising, ate heaps and watched some of the World Cup together!

We both enjoyed it and Emma's company, hugely and can't wait to return to Spain and also, Guatamala!
