A vegan ski trip with delicious food? Yes!
Staying in a chalet outside of England
I've stayed in a few places that can sleep over 20 people before, but they were self catering and in the UK.
This trip involved staying in a Chalet in France and it included breakfast and dinner. Had the skiing trip not been organised by a friend of mine who's vegan, assertive, efficient and extremely considerate, I think I might have have been a bit skeptical and tense about what we'd be fed. However, this wasn't the case, so I trusted that all would be well and went away without taking any vegan food with me. I say that, because some members of our group did bring food with them.
Alex, Alanie and Rose did more than most of us expected
Alex and Alanie went out of their way to get vegan goodies for us. For example, there were a range of fruit yoghurts, as well as, plain yoghurt, cream, milk and snacks too!
Rose made amazing breakfasts and dinners! We were so well fed and so grateful to them for making such a huge effort! Oh and let's not forget teatime! Tea and snacks were served at about 4pm every day.
Each night, we were excited about what Rose was going to make. I was especially keen on finding out what she'd concocted for the third course, as she made a different dessert for each of the 7 nights that we were there!
I can't praise them enough for the effort they made to ensure we ate well. Here's some photos of some of the meals we had.
If it can be done in France...
If meals like this can be prepared in ski resorts in France...I think it can be done in most places. So go and travel, don't doubt it, stay vegan and enjoy yourself. :)
