Myth "Vegans struggle to find dressy clothes which align with their ethics"
Why do I want to show you how easy it is to find dressy clothes?
I know many people who think that dressy clothes are mostly made from wool, silk, leather or other animal sources. I want to dispel this myth and show you how easy it is to be vegan beyond what we eat.
I probably have too many clothes, so you can take it from me that I don’t make do and I haven’t found that my choice are limited.
Dresses
Many clothes are vegan by accident. Some may have a trim of material which isn’t vegan, or they may include non-vegan buttons but it’s not hard to find clothing that doesn’t contain animal materials.
I think Satin is one of those materials that can look glamorous, sexy, expensive and elegant. There are a number of synthetic materials, which bring about a similar effect. Therefore, it won’t be hard to find vegan clothes in ‘high street stores.’
Dresses and designs
Dresses come in all sorts of shapes and styles. They vary in terms of sleeve style and length, neck line, length, the cut, whether the material is plain, one colour, decorated and so on.
This article features three dresses from three different companies.

This blue dress is from Dorothy Perkins.
What I love about the dress:-
the colour

the shape
the sleeves in terms of the length and that they are a little transparent
I feel free when I wear it i.e. not restricted in any way
New Look
This white dress is from New Look.
What I love about the dress:-
the two contrasting colours
the length
the fact that it’s flowy
that it’s bold yet elegant
the material
Cost
None of these dresses were expensive. I ordered them online when they were on sale. I didn’t go looking for them, so it didn’t involve hard work. I went online, had a look at what was on sale and then ordered what I liked the look of. I usually order two sizes so that I can compare the fit and then return whatever doesn’t suit me.
So it really is easy to find dressy vegan clothes that aren’t costly. They are easy to find and there’s lots of choice, so we don’t have to ‘make do.’
