Review: Fudge Kitchen
Vegans can't buy ready-made fudge...well; not from big established companies anyway!
So...Fudge Kitchen began their journey in 1983. They started making fudge in the UK, under the name 'Jim Garrahy's Fudge Kitchen' and have grown ever since! Their fudge is freshly made, and sold in Bath, York, Cambridge, Canterbury, Windsor, Edinburgh and Oxford.
So they're established and fairly large. Right?
Well....they make vegan fudge too!
Vegan options at Fudge Kitchen
Fudge Kitchen state that their vegan fudge has the same delicious flavour and mouth watering texture as all their other fudge flavours, but does not include milk, cream or any other dairy product.
Their vegan options contain granulated sugar, salt, soya cream, and glucose syrup. This is great for those who love fudge but are lactose intolerant, have a milk allergy, are vegan, or are on a special milk free or dairy free diet. Their hand made fudges are gluten free too!
They stock vegan Best Traditional Toffee flavour all year round, but as it gets closer to Easter and Christmas, they increase their selection of vegan slices of fudge.
You can see what I ordered below.
A lovely gift
This box of fudge was a lovely gift from me, to me and my hubby! However, I found out that someone we know loves fudge, so I gave him a slice and I was chuffed with his response! He said he really enjoyed it and he couldn't believe that it was vegan! Isn't that great?
So it comes back to the fact that vegan options are everywhere. They are growing, and they taste so good, that nobody can tell the difference.
